Change is possible.

______________

Do you dream of living out your faith and life with no regrets?

I don’t mean adopting a YOLO (you only live once) attitude; I mean experiencing the Christian life in a way that is hopeful and free and transformative.

Are you living on the edge?

See, the gospel of salvation in Jesus promises change. The Bible assures us that those who are in Christ are new creations—that old things have passed away, and all things have now become new (2 Cor. 5:17).

And yet the multitudes of people in the Western world who claim to know Jesus as their Savior have not experienced much change in terms of the way they live their lives, the decisions they make, and the character they demonstrate. Some Barna Group and Gallup polls have indicated very little difference between Christian and non-Christian divorce rates, family lives, destructive behaviors, and spiritual health.

The majority of Christians are struggling with failing families, personal chaos, and addictions like pornography, workaholism, infidelity, and spiritual stagnancy. In many sectors of the church as well as in the individual lives of so many, something is very wrong.

Where are you on the path of transformation? Have you experienced new life in Christ? Are you ready to start?

My Transformation

Years ago, I threw off the heavy burden of checking boxes and striving for stronger faith and instead embraced God’s teachings about transformation from the inside out, for His greater purpose and not my own.

After years of doing it the hard way, I can say I’m now living on the edge.

It’s not that I stopped engaging in valuable box-checking disciplines, but I did it from a changed place — a transformed heart. It’s the kind of heart I want for you.

A transformed heart that is living on the edge understands —

  • where you stand in the story of God’s great, cosmic purpose

  • how to joyfully reflect His glory

  • what it looks like to express His will alongside
His people as partners in faith

  • what transformative change can look like, and how it can happen

You can experience this kind of transformation. I can help.

Our guide is the apostle who experienced such a radical change himself. In the entire fourth chapter of his letter to the Ephesians, Paul provides an outline of transformation that is rooted in the love and purposes of God and delivered to us through the mercies and work of Christ. Here’s a sample:

…until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:13

Helpful Resources You Can Access

In my YouTube teaching series and book of the same name, Yes! You Can Really Change, we explore the powerful truths from Scripture that will equip you for transformation. I encourage you to watch the series and access materials that will help you along the journey.

To begin, it’s important to understand where you’re at in your process of transformation for Christian living. You’ll find it helpful to take inventory and identify the opportunities where your faith could use strengthening.

For encouragement, teaching and practical tips on your spiritual transformation, subscribe to my YouTube channel, Living On The Edge.

Uncover your place on the path of transformation by taking the 10-question quiz that you can access for free below.

Once it’s complete, you’ll see more clearly where you’re at in the transforming process.

  • Are you growing in love?

  • Being grounded in Scripture?

  • Ministering to others?

These are not the only indicators of growth, but they are identified in Paul’s instructions to the Ephesians. They’re strong markers of change.

Go ahead and, to the best of your ability, answer the quiz questions. Feel free to grab a spouse or friend to help if you prefer.

After Taking The Quiz

Did the quiz identify any potential trip hazards for you? If we’re honest, I suspect most of us can recognize ourselves in at least one of those scenarios.

Whether you are a new Christian full of hope for radical life-change, a seasoned believer disappointed or frustrated with your journey so far, or a Christian who has experienced some lasting change but simply longs for more, my prayer is this

Once you discover where you are on the path to change, you’ll live in hopeful anticipation about what God is able to do in profoundly transforming your nature to be more like Him.

You can do it! Over 4 decades of ministry, I’ve been witness to countless individuals who’ve developed these muscles and began to experience true, deep, life-altering change. This can be you, too.

I am believing, with you, that it’s time to enter into a process of genuine, lasting change.

With this encouragement, you’ll be eager to explore all the promises and possibilities of a radically new life.
